Café Bolseria

Café Bolseria

La Bolsería is one of the most popular and high profile mainstream weekend spot in Barrio El Carmen. Now in it’s 15 years, it is still all about the looks and the moves. Packed with people who come down for a drink, a light dance, and to find a mate, Bolseria is always full of life. Normal nights in Bolseria tend to be heavily R&B influenced, hot and sexy, even outright wild, with plenty of dressing-up and dancing skills, if the space allows. Even though La Bolseria is a total flame for the mainstream moths of the night, it is a passionate and dynamic venue that refuses to stagnate and has a packed programme of special nights.

Just watch out for the men’s toilets - they do tend to smell of…Spanish plumbing!

Venue Size: Medium.
Dance Floor
: tiny but spills out to the rest of the venue.
Music
:
R&B and pop often mixed into variety of hybrids.
Crowd:
teens - 40s mainstream as well as many who are visibly into R&B.
Dress:
weekend-smart, R&B
Sociability:
La Bolseria has a lot of mingling space but it also often gets totally packed. Many come here to mate, so expect a challenge in communication!

One of my favourite places! It rarely gets going until after 1am so you have plenty of time for drink, dinner, more drinks before venturing to Café Bolsería to peole-watch!
