On three Thursdays in September, the 16th, 23rd and 30th,  at 11 p.m, the Valencian Institute of Modern Art (IVAM) in Valencia will be hosting a series of free concerts by Bob Sands & Fabio Miano Quartet, Kiko Berenguer with the final performance given by the IVAM Jazz Ensemble and Antonio Serrano.
The musicians taking part in the Jazz a l’IVAM season include the saxophonist and composer Bob Sands, born in Manhattan, who has the honour of having received the Honorable Mention Award from DownBeat magazine. Oktoberfest 2010 – A celebration of beer is inspired by the mythical Oktoberfest that is celebrated every year in Munich (Germany).
The first Oktoberfest was celebrated between the 12th and 17th of October in 1810 to celebrate the marriage of prince Luis I to the princess Teresa de Saxony Altenburg.

La Tomatina is a food fight festival held on the last Wednesday of August each year in the town of Buñol in the Valencia region of Spain. Tens of metric tons of over-ripe tomatoes are thrown in the streets in exactly one hour.
The week-long festival features music, parades, dancing, and fireworks. On the night before, participants of the festival compete in a paella cooking contest. It is tradition for the women to wear all white and the men to wear no shirts. This festival started in a casual way in 1945, but wasn’t officially recognized until 1952.

The Umbracle at the City of Arts and Sciences is holding Europe’s biggest ever exhibition of robotic dinosaurs, showing what these colossal creatures that populated the planet for 200 million years were actually like.

On 15th July, the starting pistol will sound for a relay race of concerts that, over four days of almost uninterrupted music and following 15 years in the municipality of Benicàssim, have made FIB one of the most important music events in Spain.

Nights at l’Oceanogràfic, which is taking place from 16th to 31st July this year, will be a multimedia theatrical show.
This event uses different artistic disciplines to look at the history and cultural tradition of the Mediterranean basin through mythology.
A fusion between two worlds, that of humans and of nature, told through music, light, sound and the exercises performed by the dolphins. The event aims to raise awareness among audience members and convey a respect for the environment.
