The Parpalló Room in Valencia is currently exhibiting “La Grande Fête #1″ by Han Hoogerbrugge.
In La Grande Fête, an interactive installation, Hoogerbrugge portrays the obsessions of contemporary man. To do so, he assembles several characters who represent a large part of the members of the human race that do not want to face up to a social reality full of uncertainties.
So, running away from the anguish this produces, they decide to create their own reality (their own festival). Characters that find evasion in compulsively consuming food, fetishes, violence, etc. and that are plunging either towards destruction or divine revelation.

The Parpalló Room in Valencia is currently exhibiting Augmented Sculpture de Pablo Valbuena.
Augmented Sculpture is an installation that reflects on the temporary quality of the space and its constant transformation. In this  computer science culpture, Pablo Valbuena raises two levels that explore different aspects from the spatio-temporal reality.
The first level consists of a physical volume that controls the real space and serves as support for the second level, that consists of a virtual layer of projected light to control the transformation and sequencing of the piece. The exhibition, organized by the MuVIM and Mediterranean Caja, concentrates on the futuristic movement and its influence on the Italian publicity of the time.
One of the more interesting movements is that of vanguard, that was developed between the first and second decade of century XX in Italy.

The Museum of the City of Valencia is currently showing the exhibition “”En el camino”, in which the artist Horacio Silva shapes the impressions that a trip to China gave him.
Horacio Silva has confessed that, at the outset, when they proposed to him this exhibition, he had doubts, a thought that is recognized like one of the majors errors of its race because at present it is enchanting to make this sample.

This exhibition, through high-resolution infrared reflectography shows underlying drawings made before applying layers of colour from a select group of artists, Spanish, Italian and Flemish from the XV and XVI. These great painters of the past were unable to imagine that future researchers would get look at their designs, which reveal the personality of their strokes, full of vigor and beauty.

2010 celebrates the centenary of the birth of Ramon Gayo.

With the arrival of summer, the Valencian Institute of Modern Art (IVAM) in Valencia has new challenges to face and new artists to welcome  including Wang Xieda, a Chinese artist showing his work for the first time in Europe.

The Municipal Palace, now called the Palacio de la Exposicion, is located in a privileged environment of the city with excellent transport links and surrounded by open spaces.
It was once part of the various buildings constructed for the Regional Exhibition held in Valencia in 1909, which were mostly were demolished when the contest ended. Only a few buildings were saved from the demolition and were reused for other purposes, including the Palace of the Exposition.
The building was assigned by the City of Valencia to the prestigious architect Francisco Mora Berenguer, who had to build this palace in only seventy days to comply with [...]

On June 28, 2001 the Museu Valencià de la Il·lustració i de la Modernitat opened to the public, better known as the MuVIM it had to overcame problems caused by the emergence of complex archaeological remains in the surrounding landscaping.

El Almudin
Constructed in the 16th century the El Almudin building in Valencia served as a warehouse. This gave rise to the name “almudin” from Arabic. The structure was used to store the grain for the city.
Originally it would have a much smaller build but it has been expanded over the centuries XV and XVI to take on the appearance it has today.
