The Plaza de la Reina can be found behind the Cathedral, and from this plaza you will have a beautiful view of the “Miquelet”, the most famous bell tower in the city.
This plaza is a fantastic introduction to “Ciutat Vella” (the old city). The center of the plaza houses a small garden, laden with orange trees and with benches occupied by people relaxing.

The Plaza de la Virgen sits on the site that once was the forum of Roman Valencia.
It is home to many beautiful buildings including the Palacio de la Generalitat Valenciana, the Basilica of Our Lady of the Forsaken and the Cathedral of Valencia (where it is believed that the Holy Grail is kept) and whose bell tower is known as the Torre del Micalet.

Catedral Valencia
Centrally located on the Plaza de la Reina, this is the religious centre of Valencia and one of the city’s landmarks.
Many centuries ago, it used to be a mosque, but when El Cid conquered the city, it became a Roman Catholic cathedral. Later the city was re-conquered by the Muslims as part of the Arab Moorish invasion of Spain and the South of France. The cathedral again became a mosque.
Later, when the Christian King Jaume I  re-conquered Valencia it reverted to a Christian cathedral. The Miguelete bell tower (El Miguelete) is a hexagonal Gothic tower towering over Plaza de la Reina. [...]
