Until 10th October, the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia will be hosting Fashion Art, an exhibition that aims to analyse the cultural interaction and aesthetic references between the visual arts and fashion design.
The exhibition brings together a collection of over 40 hand-painted dresses that blend fashion and design with the visual arts. Fashion Art, located in the Calle Mayor section of the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum, is arriving in Europe for the first time, having travelled to several Latin American cities such as Buenos Aires, Montevideo and Santiago de Chile, among others.

Teatro de la Electricidad is at the Museo de las Ciencias Príncipe Felipe in Valencia until the 13-11-2010.

L’Hemisfèric in Valencia’s City of Arts and Sciences invites you to dive into the mysterious waters of Arabia, a fantastic adventure that will take you to the lost city of Madain Saleh.
This unique building shaped to symbolise a big human eye is a window to the outside, a balcony that will allow you to glimpse at other worlds and have incredible experiences thanks to the shows, projections and activities held regularly in its facilities.

Science and science fiction come together from the 22nd July to the 22nd February 2011 on the third floor of the Science Museum at the City of Arts and Sciences.
There will be a massive “Star Trek” exhibition which will give visitors the chance to see real props and costumes from this legendary series for the first time ever in Europe, in a meticulously assembled set that will beam them up to the star ship ‘Enterprise’

The Umbracle at the City of Arts and Sciences is holding Europe’s biggest ever exhibition of robotic dinosaurs, showing what these colossal creatures that populated the planet for 200 million years were actually like.

The Parque de Cabecera extends the green area of the dried out river bed and continues on to the diverted river. It is an ideal place to enjoy with kids.
The park has two main sections, the Montaña Mirador and the Bosque de Ribera Mediterraneo which recreates the original landscape of the Turia River.
Found at the western end of the riverbed, this exquisitely planned parkland is a mixture of communal playgrounds and nature reserves. It contains an artificial lake which is fed by the source of the old river, an outdoor auditorium which hosts live music and theatre throughout the year.

Port Saplaya is in the municipal of Alboraya – Valencia.
It has sports, a port and all facilities including a Macdonalds!
There is a selection of Tapas bars and restaraunts along the front and a super little ice cream bar. It is a lesser known beach and often not crowded. It is the perfect hideaway to go and relax on long stretches of golden sands and marine blue sea.

Playa de Patacona
The beach of Patacona is the northern part of the city beach front, being further up it is more spacious and less crowded than Malvarossa.
Split from Malvarossa by a stream and a bridge, Patacona brings a marked difference. The sand itself is a much wider strip, giving a sensation of more space and tranquility.
The large bridge obstructs the view of the city to the right, taking you further away from the civilisation. The views of the coastline on the left are closer and prettier and the crowds are smaller, while the space is larger.

Playa las Arenas y Playa de Cabanyal
This beach is the beginning of the amazing sea front of Valencia.
The beach joins with the straights of the America’s Cup Port and it is the closest, the most built-up and the most accessible beach to the city and therefore it is the official city beach for activities and events. Whenever there is a sports event or a public event it generally happens here.

Playa de Pinedo
Pinedo beach is the nearest beach outside of Valencia and it has a nudist section.
It is the closest of the southern beaches and the first stop out of the city, although it doesn’t have the quality of El Saler, which is only another 5 minutes down the road.
With the El Saler beach so close, there is no particular reason to visit unless you are looking for a nudist area although Playa de la Devesa is a better option for the serious nudists but it’s another 15 min by bus and 20-30 minutes on foot. La Devesa is a real nudist [...]
