The Botanical Garden of Valencia is a beautiful backdrop to an exhibition of Moving bodies.
The Botanical Gardens is currently presenting/displaying the sculptural exhibition “DEL COLOR AL B/N, pasando por la madera” roughly translated as “OF the COLOR TO the B/N, happening through the wood” by the Valencian artist Luis Creek.
Visit the gardens to see a game of colours, textures and shades that cover all and also emulate and characterize, emblematic personages from the history of the cinema, through moving bodies carved in wood. Decomposed abstraction and pieces form the work of this artist and designer, strongly influenced by the MGP art.

The Museum of Natural Sciences of Valencia is the perfect place for a photographic exhibition “First Ladies, Women in emergency situations” (“First Ladies. Mujeres en situación de emergencia”)
The women are the first to suffer when the power of the army ruins a society. At the same time, they are powerful: they assure the survival of their family and assume the main sustenance tasks and refuge. For that reason, these women are our “First Ladies”.
Histories of these “First Ladies” have been picked up by three famous Dutch photographers in three contexts, women who have been affected by the war or the insecurity of it:<br [...]

The Plaza del Ayuntamiento is the largest and probably most important plaza in Valencia.
Home to the city hall (ayuntamiento) and the magnificent central post office (edificio de correos), the Plaza del Ayuntamiento also serves as the centre for the Fallas celebrations
The triangular shape of the plaza is amazing. At its southern end, where it’s widest, there’s a large area which is the site of many mascletàs during the year, the largest and most spectacular held during Fallas. It is surrounded by bountiful flower sellers, who always have a huge array of flowers, bringing a real old fashioned street feel [...]

It was then decided that living alongside the river imposed a huge risk and the river was diverted. Today, the Turia’s old riverbed is the largest urban garden in Spain.
The old riverbed is now a verdant sunken park that allows cyclists and pedestrians to traverse much of the city without the use of roads. The park, called the ‘Garden of the Turia’ (Jardí del Túria/Jardín del Turia) boasts numerous ponds, paths, fountains, flowers, football pitches, cafés, artworks, climbing walls, an athletics track, a zen garden and more. Centrally located on the Plaza de la Reina, this is the religious centre of Valencia and one of the city’s landmarks.
Many centuries ago, it used to be a mosque, but when El Cid conquered the city, it became a Roman Catholic cathedral. Later the city was re-conquered by the Muslims as part of the Arab Moorish invasion of Spain and the South of France. The cathedral again became a mosque.
Later, when the Christian King Jaume I re-conquered Valencia it reverted to a Christian cathedral. The Miguelete bell tower (El Miguelete) is a hexagonal Gothic tower towering over Plaza de la Reina. [...]
